Sales that arrive in your bookkeeping the way they should
Selling wine online creates paperwork: invoices, VAT returns, the margin scheme for older bottles, the EU VAT one-stop-shop. House Wine handles the documents at the moment of sale and gives your accountant a clean export — so you spend the evening tasting, not reconciling.
Proper invoices, automatically
Every paid order produces a PDF invoice with a sequential number, your VAT ID, the buyer’s details, a per-line VAT breakdown, and the correct legal wording for the VAT scheme that applies. The invoice is emailed to the customer as an attachment and stored on the order in your dashboard.
Per-bottle VAT scheme: a single cart can contain bottles under standard VAT, bottles under the second-hand margin scheme (for back vintages bought from private collectors), and exempt items — each with the correct phrasing on the same invoice.
Export to your accountant
Download a CSV of your sales for any period: order number, date, customer, gross, VAT amount, VAT rate, scheme, and payment method. The format is what your bookkeeper actually wants — not a database dump you have to rework.
Connect compatible bookkeeping systems (e.g. Moneybird, Exact, e-Boekhouden) to push invoices through automatically as they are created. Your stock and your sales stay aligned without copy-pasting.
VAT done right across borders
Selling to a private buyer in Germany? French distance-selling thresholds? The platform applies the correct VAT rate for the destination and the scheme, marks B2B reverse-charge orders correctly when you supply the customer’s VAT ID, and keeps the trail your tax office will ask for.
Audit trail you can actually use
Inquiries, counter-offers, accepted orders, payment confirmations, invoice PDFs, and shipping confirmations are all stored against the order. If a customer disputes a charge or your accountant has a question about a margin-scheme bottle from two years ago, the paper trail is one click away.
Less paperwork, more wine
