How Long to Store Wine

Not all wine improves with age. Most wines are made to drink within a few years. But top wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Barolo, the Rhône and fortified wines like Port can last decades.

Factors that determine lifespan: tannin content, acidity, sugar, alcohol percentage and winemaking method. Store wine horizontally, at 12-14°C, in the dark and at constant humidity. Have bottles that have peaked? Consider selling them via House Wine.
